I have never been able to stop being a student. Each field that pulled me in, I went and studied — formally, all the way through. Eight degrees and credentials later, I'm still enrolled, and I hope I never stop.

In the end, the questions got personal. I wanted to be in the room when someone is at their worst and still be able to help. So I trained as a clinician — and now I'm training as a nurse.
