Billing and Payments
-
Payment Methods: We accept insurance, credit/debit cards, and cash. This flexibility ensures that you can choose the payment method that works best for you.
-
Insurance: It is your responsibility to provide accurate insurance information. We will assist in processing insurance claims, but you are responsible for any co-pays, deductibles, and amounts not covered by insurance. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your coverage and any potential out-of-pocket expenses.
-
Self-Pay: For clients without insurance, payment is due at the time of service. This policy ensures that our services remain accessible to those who prefer or need to pay out-of-pocket.
-
Outstanding Balances: Unpaid balances must be settled before future appointments can be scheduled. This policy helps us manage our resources effectively and ensures continuity of care for all clients.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy
-
Cancellation: Appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the session cost. This policy helps us manage our schedule efficiently and allows other clients the opportunity to book available slots.
-
No-Show: If you fail to show up for a scheduled appointment without prior notice, a no-show fee of 50% of the session cost will be charged. This fee compensates for the time reserved for you, which could have been allocated to another client in need.

Late Arrival
If you arrive late for your appointment, your session will still end at the scheduled time, and you will be charged for the full session. This ensures that other clients' appointments are not impacted by delays. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the appointment may be considered a no-show, and the no-show policy will apply. We encourage you to arrive on time to maximize the benefits of your session.

-
Emergency: In case of an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Our clinic does not provide 24-hour crisis services, so immediate and appropriate action is necessary in emergencies.

Termination of Services
We reserve the right to terminate services if you fail to comply with these terms and conditions. Our primary goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and professional environment for all clients and staff. Therefore, adherence to these guidelines is essential. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to:

-
Repeated No-Shows: Consistently missing scheduled appointments without proper notice disrupts the care process and prevents us from offering those time slots to other clients in need. A pattern of missed appointments without cancellation may lead to termination of services.
-
Non-Payment: Timely payment for services is necessary for the operational viability of our clinic. Failure to settle outstanding balances or repeated non-payment of fees, co-pays, or deductibles may result in the termination of services. We offer various payment options and are willing to discuss financial hardships to find a workable solution.
-
Inappropriate Behavior: We are committed to maintaining a respectful and professional environment. Any form of inappropriate behavior towards staff or other clients, including but not limited to verbal abuse, physical aggression, harassment, or threats, will not be tolerated. Such behavior undermines the safety and well-being of our community and will lead to termination of services.
-
Violation of Clinic Policies: Adherence to our clinic policies is essential for ensuring effective and ethical treatment. This includes compliance with treatment plans, attendance policies, and other guidelines provided by your healthcare provider. Repeated violations of these policies may result in the discontinuation of services.
-
Failure to Follow Treatment Recommendations: Consistent non-compliance with treatment recommendations, such as refusing to participate in therapy sessions, not taking prescribed medications, or ignoring other medical advice, can hinder progress and impact the effectiveness of your treatment. If such issues persist despite efforts to address them, services may be terminated.
-
Threat to Safety: Any behavior that poses a direct threat to the safety of our staff, clients, or the individual themselves will result in immediate termination of services. This includes any indications of violence, self-harm, or other dangerous actions.

Prior to terminating services, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate with you to address any concerns and provide opportunities to resolve the issues. This may include discussing alternative solutions, providing warnings, or offering referrals to other providers. Our aim is to support you in your therapeutic journey, but maintaining a safe and productive environment for all is paramount.

If services are terminated, we will assist in transitioning your care to another provider to ensure continuity of care and minimize any disruption to your treatment.

-
Honesty: Being honest about feelings, experiences, and challenges, even if they are difficult to discuss.

Importance: Active participation and honest communication create a strong therapeutic alliance, which is critical for effective treatment. It allows us to understand your perspective, address your concerns, and work together towards your therapeutic goals.

Group Therapy
Group therapy sessions are confidential. All participants must agree to maintain the privacy of other group members. This ensures a safe and supportive environment where all participants can feel secure sharing their experiences. Respecting confidentiality fosters trust and openness within the group.

Family Therapy
Family therapy involves multiple family members, and confidentiality may be shared among participants as part of the therapeutic process. This collaborative approach helps address family dynamics and improve relationships. Open communication and mutual respect are essential for the success of family therapy.

Minor Clients
For clients under 18, specific protocols and guidelines are in place to ensure their safety, well-being, and effective treatment. These protocols emphasize the importance of parental consent and involvement in the therapeutic process. Here are the key aspects and their significance:

Parental Consent

-
Legal Requirement: Parental consent is legally required for the treatment of minors. This consent must be obtained before any therapeutic services can be provided. Parents or legal guardians must sign consent forms acknowledging their approval of the treatment plan.
-
Informed Consent: Parents are provided with detailed information about the treatment process, including the nature of the therapy, potential benefits and risks, and the expected outcomes. This ensures that parents are fully informed and can make knowledgeable decisions regarding their child's care.
Importance: Obtaining parental consent ensures that the treatment of minors is conducted ethically and legally. It respects the legal rights of parents and guardians and ensures that they are actively involved in their child’s healthcare decisions.

Parental Involvement in the Treatment Process

-
Initial Assessment: Parents are often involved in the initial assessment to provide background information, discuss concerns, and help set therapeutic goals. Their insights are valuable for understanding the minor's history and current issues.
-
Ongoing Communication: Regular communication between the therapist and parents is maintained to discuss the minor's progress, any changes in behavior or symptoms, and adjustments to the treatment plan. This keeps parents informed and engaged in their child's therapeutic journey.
-
Participation in Sessions: Depending on the nature of the treatment and the minor's needs, parents may be invited to participate in certain therapy sessions. This can include family therapy sessions, joint parent-child sessions, or sessions focused on parenting strategies.
Importance: Involving parents in the treatment process provides a comprehensive approach to the minor's care. It ensures that parents are aware of their child’s progress, can reinforce therapeutic strategies at home, and can support their child’s development and well-being.

Creating a Supportive Environment

-
Collaborative Approach: Therapy for minors often involves a collaborative approach, where therapists, parents, and sometimes other family members work together to support the minor’s growth and address any challenges.
-
Education and Resources: Parents are provided with education and resources to help them understand their child’s condition, learn effective parenting techniques, and support their child’s therapeutic goals. This can include workshops, reading materials, and referrals to additional services.
-
Consistency: Consistency between the therapeutic strategies used in sessions and the approaches used at home is crucial for effective treatment. Parents’ involvement helps ensure that therapeutic interventions are consistently reinforced in the child’s daily life.
Importance: A supportive environment is essential for the effective treatment of minors. When parents are actively involved and informed, they can better support their child's progress, create a stable and nurturing home environment, and contribute to positive therapeutic outcomes.

Confidentiality and Boundaries

-
Confidentiality: While parental involvement is crucial, the confidentiality of the minor is also respected. Therapists maintain appropriate boundaries and ensure that the minor’s privacy is protected. Certain aspects of therapy may be confidential between the minor and the therapist, unless there are safety concerns.
-
Boundaries: Clear boundaries are established to balance the involvement of parents and the autonomy of the minor. This helps build trust between the minor and the therapist and encourages open communication within the therapeutic setting.
Importance: Respecting confidentiality and setting appropriate boundaries are important for creating a trusting and effective therapeutic relationship. It helps minors feel safe and supported in therapy while ensuring that parents are appropriately involved.
By requiring parental consent and involving parents in the treatment process, we aim to provide comprehensive and effective care for minors. This approach ensures that the minor's therapeutic journey is supported both within the therapeutic setting and at home, fostering their overall well-being and development.
